Dr. Vitaly Bard
Dr. Bard, BSc, MD, FRCSC, FACS, is a Canadian surgeon and physician (University of Toronto), specialist in Advanced Laparoscopy (McMaster University, Hamilton) and in Immunology (U of T), recipient of the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Fellowship (1998-1999). Dr. Bard is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and of the Ontario and Canadian Medical Associations, a fellow of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Association of General Surgeons. Currently, Dr. Bard runs a private practice and works as a surgeon at The Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario. He has known the Correas for two decades, worked with Dr. P. Correa and Prof. A. Axelrad in the application of centrifugal elutriation to purify murine blood-cell progenitors and in the development of a serum-free medium for the growth of blood cells, and co-authored a publication with Dr. P. Correa and Prof. A. Axelrad.
